Schlosshotel Fiss’s new Beef Club steak restaurant celebrates authentic local tradition, in a contemporary Alpine setting complete with deer and chamois antlers on the wall – the perfect context for finest rib-eye, tomahawk and porterhouse steaks. The menu also features rare salt-marsh lamb. The hotel’s hip fine-dining hub is the Big Green Egg: from behind a glass partition, diners watch the kitchen team work its magic with this uber-barbecue, which is made from ceramic developed in conjunction with NASA. Raise a glass of the Schlosshotel’s own exciting creations, based on its SHF signature gin which is made in collaboration with the award-winning Maass distillery in Prutz. Local favourites include Pine Twist – woody Tyrolean pine flavour best served with Fever Tree Tonic Water; or Raspberry Twist – fruity and slightly bitter with a wild raspberry finish. Bartender Sam Lutz recommends the Strawberry Basil Daiquiri with home-made strawberry pulp and Thai basil and rosemary syrup; the Corn & Oil with home-made falernum syrup; and Black Widow Sour – perfect for hot summer evenings. Schlosshotel Fiss also makes a wide range of syrups and liqueurs based on elderflower, elderberry, cucumber, vanilla, coffee, cherry, blueberry and passion fruit, as well as lemonades, iced teas, ginger beer and tonic.
