FAMILY SUMMER EXPERIENCE
Before the sun even starts to rise, the kids are awake and raring to go, luckily we’ve booked them onto the Schlosshotel’s Kids’ Yoga sessions in an attempt to calm them down! They join Simone outside for their first session and we take our coffee outside to breathe the fresh mountain air and watch them relax and have fun. Heads cleared and muscles stretched, the kids join us on for a walk on The Explorers Trail. Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is a very family-friendly holiday destination and there is literally something for everyone. Specific walking trails, such as The Explorers Trail, keep the kids amused and involved while getting exercise and some much-needed mountain air in their lungs.
After a morning of fresh air, stunning scenery and exciting exercise, we return to the Schlosshotel for an afternoon of rest and relaxation in the Family Spa. The kids are excited to try out the chocolate scrub (I had to warn them not to eat it!) and I’m just happy to sit and relax with a good book. Of course, the kids don’t want to rest for too long, they soon shoot off to the SPLASH Waterworld for a couple of hours of watery fun. This gives us the perfect opportunity to try out the Private Spa Suite, resting on the loungers, drinking Champagne before 5pm and enjoying some quality couple time – this is exactly how a holiday should be spent.
MUSIC IN THE MOUNTAINS
We planned our stay so that we could take part in the Mounds Family Music Festival. This nine-day event is solely focused around families and includes 24 concerts as well as a range of fun workshops and lectures. A nice surprise was that entry to the festival and workshops is completely free with a Super. Summer. Card. – which we were given when we arrived at the Schlosshotel.
Our family festival fun began with a trip to the Möseralm in Fiss for a steel drum workshop – it wasn’t just the kids that enjoyed the session, I was a natural, if I may say so myself! After a morning of making music we arrive at the main stage of the festival for an afternoon of dancing, singing and partying as a family. Everyone’s exhausted after a day of fun in the fresh air so when we get back to our family suite we all crash out for the night.
KIDS’ CLUB
The Schlosshotel Fiss really is the ideal hotel for a family holiday in Tyrol. When the kids want to do something different we are able to hand them over to the professional childcare team in the Kids’ Club for a fun-packed day of activities, while we have a few drinks in the bar, chill out in the spa, or enjoy a peaceful meal together: bliss!
