ISTM 2019 AT SKIWELT, TYROL, AUSTRIA
The International Ski Travel Market (ISTM) is one of the most important global ski trade events and in 2019 it is returning to the Austrian Tyrol to be hosted by one of Europe’s largest and most modern ski resorts, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental.
The fifth edition of ISTM took place 11 – 13 March 2018 in Grindelwald at the foot one of Europe’s most famous peaks, the Eiger. Around 1,500 pre-scheduled meetings took place between buyers and suppliers in the ski travel trade, with delegates representing 17 countries worldwide. niche destinations Managing Director, Claudia Reichenberger was amongst the delegates representing the niche destinations portfolio of ski hotels in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena, Stubai Glacier, Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, Kirchberg/Kitzbühel, Ski amadé, Zell am See-Kaprun and Zillertal/Mayrhofen.
The sixth edition of ISTM will take place from 24 – 26 March 2019. Luke Boulton, Event Director announced, ‘We are excited to return with ISTM to Austria and are confident it will help showcase the SkiWelt areas modern infrastructure and excellent facilities, whilst providing delegates with a warm and cosy atmosphere in which to conduct their business. This venue is extremely well connected in terms of transport and is logistically very well placed to welcome the ISTM community arriving from near and far.’

Nine villages provide direct access to more than 284 kilometres of perfect, daily groomed slopes and 21 valley runs in the SkiWelt. Also awaiting at SkiWelt are 90 modern cable cars and lifts, panoramic views of more than 70 peaks over three thousand metres high, the ALPENIGLU® Village, four fun parks, exhilarating ski runs, three floodlit toboggan runs, Austria’s largest night skiing resort plus hiking trails in the mountains, and 77 family-run mountain huts with sun terraces and table service.
The SkiWelt is only one hour away from Munich, Salzburg or Innsbruck and very easy to get to.
